Deliverables
Team Proposal (PASS / FAIL)
Planned project objectives, scope and plans for delivery (including team roles/responsibilities, project management approach, approximate schedule)
Portfolio (60% : Approx. 40% Individual, 20% Team)
The portfolio is effectively a record of all of the development work undertaken by the group. Contents may vary but could include:
- Shared document libraries featuring annotated literature review
- Team journals / blogs: documenting research and development and reflecting on progress and problems
- Project management and participation documentation (e.g. Trello boards)
- Prototypes and testing results
- Peer/tutor review feedback and retrospectives
- Links to user interfaces / notebooks / visualisations and team code repository
The Portfolio will use the Blackboard Wiki tool in the teams' area. The team should provide a linked table of contents at the front of the portfolio to describe what each section provides. Sections themselves may be external, with reference links. It is the team's responsibility to make sure any links are persistent and work for assessors.
There is no word count limit to this component, but the team should exercise judgement as to what content is relevant to an assessment of the team process and product.
30 minute Viva (40%)
The viva will be conducted by a panel consisting of the tutor team and possibly external guests and will cover the teams product and process.
The team should prepare a 15-20 minute presentation with participation of each member to introduce their project and summarise their outcomes. After that, members of the viva panel will ask questions based on the group presentation and the portfolio.
